The ‘sacred vows’ of Vajrayana. Outwardly, they consist of maintaining harmonious relationship with the vajra master and one’s Sangha; and, inwardly, not straying from the continuity of the practice. The Tibetan spelling is dam tshig. The equivalent Sanskrit term is samaya.
