Reflections on Buddhism

The only interesting thing about Buddhism is that its practices work. A science PhD and many years working as a business executive give me a pragmatic and sceptical approach to religion. Buddhism is not a belief system; it is a system of methods that anyone can try for themselves. I have consistently found that when I apply the methods, I get the advertised results. Those are so remarkable that any goal other than progress on the Buddhist path seems somewhat trivial.
