Ngakma Déwang Pamo and Naljorpa Traktung Dorje
Ngakma Déwang Pamo and Naljorpa Traktung Dorje are disciples of Ngak’chang Rinpoche and Khandro Déchen – the Lineage Holders of the Aro gTér Tradition of Nyingma Vajrayana Buddhism. They were ordained into the gö kar chang lo’i dé in 2005.
Ngakma Déwang is a thangka painter, and practices appreciation and creativity also in everyday life; where any activity can become Art – in terms of providing an opportunity to open the senses and enter into communication with the phenomenal world. Naljorpa Traktung is particularly drawn towards the physical exercises of the Aro tradition, especially the sKu-mNyé – which he has been practicing from 2001 and teaching from 2010.
Ngakma Déwang and Naljorpa Traktung are known for their direct, pragmatic and unassuming style, which is seasoned with humour and warmth. Their down-to-earth approach to Vajrayana and practices vividly conveys the quality of the Aro gTér as a family lineage for practitioners in the West.
They are both born Austrian and live in München with their two daughters, born 2009 and 2011. Ngakma Déwang and Naljorpa Traktung enjoy family life, imbued by the teachings on Vajra romance (Khandro dPa’wo Nyi-da Mélong Gyüd). The teachings and lives of the Mahasiddhas as presented in the gTérma of Jomo Pema ’ö-Zér are a great inspiration to them - in terms of the experience that it is indeed possible to integrate practice with every aspect of life.
