when we forget to ‘do samsara’
Apprentice
Rinpoche, when you were teaching at Pema ’ö-Sel Ling, you said that one could be inspired by natural phenomena with respect to Lama’i Naljor . . . in terms of remembering all our teachers – all our Lamas – do you mean if you are inspired by a forest or . . . ?
Ngak’chang Rinpoche
Yes – certainly. There are moments in our lives when we see openly. Because our beginninglessly enlightened nature is continually sparkling through the fabric of duality, there will be moments when we forget to ‘do samsara’. They may well be brief moments – but they will be important nonetheless. You could be sitting, looking at the sea, and for some reason you forget to ‘do samsara’ for a moment – and then you perceive differently. It is not realisation in particular – but a moment of inspiration – a non-conceptual moment.
