Ngakpa Seng-ge Dorje
Ngakpa Seng-gé Dorje—an ex-biker—has been a
student of Ngak’chang Rinpoche and
Khandro Déchen since 1995 and
has practised Buddhism since 1992. He was ordained in 2000. At the
behest of his root teachers, Seng-gé has studied a broad rage of
Mahayoga symbolic practises, specifically those connected with Ling Gésar –the essence of spiritual warriorship.
Ngakpa Seng-gé is engaged with in-depth studies of Madhyamaka, and puts special emphasis upon the Mahayoga
practices of Namkha, amulet making, and the making of sang
offerings. He is a married practitioner with a family and a career in
school teaching. He presents Dharma from what he hopes is
an earthy point of view.
Seng-gé Dorje’s wife Dékyi is a Tibetan whose family come
from Amdo. Her parents—who belong to the Nyingma
Tradition—live in southern India, and thus he makes regular
visits with his family. There is a gö kar chang lo tradition
linked with his wife’s family and so he is able to make a direct
link with the mother culture of the tradition to which he
belongs.
