There are many ideas about Buddhism which are limited or erroneous. Although monasticism and vegetarianism are facets of Buddhism, they do not define its many schools and traditions. Ngak’chang Rinpoche will speak about the non-monastic traditions of Tibet and give insights into the essential Vajrayana that can be experienced through everyday life. Buddhism is comprised of vehicles and each vehicle is a unique approach. Monasticism and vegetarianism are important methods in the Buddhist spectrum – but there are other spectral colours of practice which open themselves more readily to those with an interest in the Arts and the Art of Life as it can be lived in contemporary society. Dzogchen is the Art of Life and the heart of Compassion.
