Ngala Rig’dzin Dorje and Tsal’gyür Wangmo have lived and worked most of their lives in London. In May 2006 they moved, for the benefit of their students to Italy, where they founded a center of the Aro lineage called Aro Ga’dzong, ‘Stronghold of Joy’. Aro Ga’dzong, situated in northern Tuscany, serves as the family home of Ngala Rig’dzin Dorje, Tsal’gyür Wangmo and their son Henry. It regularly hosts courses and events for students and for the public. By the hard work of the teachers and their apprentices Aro Ga’dzong has been transformed into a place of practice, which serves as a great inspiration for all visitors.
